Through RVP, Ben connected with a therapist who helped him find a path forward - something he wasn’t able to afford on his own.

Michelle Collins knows the grief and trauma road intimately. She’s walked it with others through her work as a compassionate yoga therapist and wellness coach. But she has also walked the road of grief and trauma herself. After losing her military spouse to suicide, Michelle needed free, confidential mental health support. And that’s exactly what she got at RVP.

After serving during the invasion of Iraq in 2003, Ben was among the first wave of veterans to return home after September 11. When he came back to Oregon, his mental health was suffering. Through RVP, he got connected to a counselor in his area for free support. Now, Ben owns Dauntless Wine Co. and continues to pay it forward.
