Returning Veterans Project – Free Health Services for Post-9/11 Veterans, Service Members, and Military Families
The Returning Veterans Project (RVP) is a community-based nonprofit providing free, confidential health services for post-9/11 (September 11) veterans, active duty service members, and their families. Veterans often face unique issues related to military service, such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), traumatic brain injury (TBI), military sexual trauma (MST), homelessness, unemployment, addiction issues, marriage and family problems, and suicide.
RVP provides acupuncture, art therapy, chiropractic care, drug and alcohol counseling, marriage and family counseling, float therapy, massage therapy, mental health counseling, music therapy, naturopathic medicine, physical therapy, and writing workshops. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is our top referral in Oregon (OR) and Southwest Washington (SW WA). Our volunteer health providers receive free continuing education training and credits (CEU) in military culture on topics such as women veterans, LGBTQ+ veterans, minority veterans, and veterans with disabilities. Together, we are closing the gaps in the healthcare systems and healing the wounds of war.
