LGBTQ+ military members have faced punishment and discrimination for their sexual orientation since the Revolutionary War. Despite progress, 100,000 LGBTQ+ individuals were discharged before Don't Ask, Don't Tell. The fight for visibility and acceptance continues.

In this session, we discuss how adults can support children and teens who are grieving. We address how to talk to children and teens about death, developmental considerations, and unique aspects related to suicide, homicide, and other modes of death.
