For Providers:
Referral Process
Veterans and their families will choose their own providers
from a directory of counselors and health practitioners on the website.
If a provider is not taking new clients, the veteran and family are
referred back to the website.

Minimum
Standards for Inclusion in the RVP Volunteer Provider Network
A primary goal of the Returning Veterans Project is to serve as conduit
for mental health and health care practitioners who wish to volunteer
their professional services to returning veterans, military members and
their families. In order to ensure that our volunteer practitioners are
qualified to provide appropriate mental health or health care services,
all RVP volunteer practitioners must meet the following requirements:
1.
The volunteer practitioner must be covered by a
current malpractice
insurance policy applicable to the services to
be
rendered; and
2. The volunteer practitioner must be licensed by a
state professional board in
Oregon and/or Washington; or
3.
The volunteer practitioner must be working under
the supervision of a
licensed practitioner as part
of the volunteer’s
post-graduate,
state-contracted work toward
licensure.
Our network includes Oregon and southwest Washington. If you
are outside this area, please visit our link &
resources page to find national organizations.
